Cookies

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive assigned to the browser you use and that allow the body that sets the cookie (us here) to gain certain information. Cookies are used to improve the user friendliness of our website and to enable the functions you use. If we use cookies for any other purposes, we will explain what we are using it for here in our privacy policy.

In your browser, you can set various settings for cookies, prohibit them and delete set cookies. However, we would like to note that you may not be able to use all of the services on our website without cookies. If cookies are used by third party providers on this site, you will find additional information about this through the services implemented here.

Google Analytics

We use the tool Google Analytics from Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland).
Google Analytics works with text files stored on your device (so-called “cookies”) to gain information about your website use. Google uses this information on our behalf to provide assessments of website use, reports about activities on the website and other services. The data about your website use collected by the cookie is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA for analysis and saved there. There is no merging with other data possibly stored at Google. We also use the “anonymizeIP” masking function. Before sending your IP address to the Google server in the US, it is truncated here within the EU. The full IP address is only transmitted in rare cases and is then truncated at the servers in the US.

You can prevent this processing via the following measures: You can set your browser so that no cookies are stored. However, this may mean that our website is not fully functional for you. It is also possible to prevent data collection through a browser add-on from Google. You can find the add-on here: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. As an alternative to the browser add-on, such as when you use a smartphone and tablets, you can prevent Google Analytics from recording data by clicking here. This sets a cookie that prevents the data collection. If you visit our website with a different device or browser or if you have deleted your cookie, the cookie will have to be reset.
Additional information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail at https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/. You can revoke your consent at any time with immediate effect by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This prevents the recording of the data generated by the cookies or data relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google.

The party responsible for the processing has integrated components of the company Facebook on this website. Facebook is a social network.
A social network is a social meeting point operated on the Internet, an online community that generally allows users to communicate with each other and interact in a virtual space. A social network can serve as a platform for exchanging opinions and experiences or allow the Internet community to provide personal or business-related information. Facebook allows social network users to create private profiles, upload photos and network via friend requests among other options.

By accessing one of the pages of this website that is operated by the party responsible for the processing and on which a Facebook component (Facebook plug-in) has been integrated, the Internet browser on the IT system of the person concerned is automatically prompted by the respective Facebook component to download an image of the corresponding Facebook component from Facebook. A complete overview of all Facebook plug-ins can be accessed at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE. As part of this technical procedure, Facebook receives information about which specific subpage of our website is visited by the person concerned.
If the person concerned is logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook recognises during every access of our website by the person concerned and during the entire duration of the respective visit to our website which specific subpage of our website the person concerned visits. This information is collected by the Facebook component and assigned to the respective Facebook account of the person concerned by Facebook. If the person concerned presses one of the Facebook buttons integrated on our website, such as the “Like” button, or makes a comment, Facebook will assign this information to the personal Facebook user account of the person concerned and store this personal data.
Facebook always receives information via the Facebook component when the person concerned has visited our website if the person concerned is logged into Facebook at the time of accessing our website. This occurs regardless of whether the person concerned clicked on the Facebook component or not. If the person concerned does not desire such a transfer of information to Facebook, said person can prevent the information from being transmitted by logging out of their Facebook account before accessing our website.
Facebook's published data policy, which is available at https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by Facebook. Furthermore, it explains what setting options Facebook offers to protect the privacy of the person concerned. In addition, different applications are available that make it possible to prevent data transmission to Facebook. Such applications can be used by the person concerned to prevent data being transmitted to Facebook.

bit.ly

The service of Bitly is used on our website and in our emails to shorten links. Bitly uses certain algorithms. When a link to a web page is entered on Bitly for shortening, the service creates a very short link that can then be copied. This no longer refers to the original page, but to Bitly. When opening the link, you will be forwarded to Bitly and then immediately forwarded to the desired website. Bitly just makes a redirect. An examination of the links does not take place. Users only see the Bitly Shortlink, not the URL. When a Bitly Link is created, Bitly collects and stores both the original URL and the shortened URL. This information will be linked to the registered account, if one has been created. Bitly also collects and stores the IP address, time, and date when the original URL was truncated. As far as an account is created, Bitly collects personally identifiable information such as the name and email address. Some features of the service allow content and bitly links to be shared with other companies such as Facebook and Twitter. In this case, Bitly may collect information related to the users of these third-party services, such as: For example, authentication tokens that Bitly uses to connect to the third-party service accounts. Bitly gets the permission of the users. Bitly collects information about traffic (such as clicks) from each Bitly link created by the services. This information includes: the IP address and location of the devices accessing the Bitly Link; the referring websites or services, the date and time of each access, and information about the distribution of the Bitly link to third-party services such as Twitter and Facebook. Additional information and Bitly's privacy policy can be found at https://bitly.com/pages/privacy.
